By Simon Bristow

Police are appealing for information after an early morning armed robbery at a garage.

A man in his mid-20s wearing a hi-viz jacket, a grey bobble hat, and with a grey scarf covering his face, entered a Jet garage on Sutton Road, east Hull, at 6am on Friday, February 17, and walked behind the counter before threatening the cashier with a knife and demanding money.

The robber, who is also described as being of slim build, stole £200 cash before fleeing the scene. The cashier was “thankfully not harmed but was very shaken by the robbery”, Humberside Police said.

A spokesperson added: “We are appealing for anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously, or that may have seen anything that would assist us with our enquiries, to call us on our non-emergency number 101, quoting log 76 of 17 February 2023.”
