‘People’s songwriter’ Jamie Webster brings UK tour to Connexin Live

COMING TO HULL: Jamie Webster

By Simon Bristow, Co-Editor

Jamie Webster, a Liverpudlian dubbed the “people’s songwriter”, will be bringing his UK and Ireland winter tour to Hull this year.

Webster will perform at Connexin Live on Saturday, November 23, with tickets – both standing and limited seating – going on sale this Friday, July 19, at 9am.

He headlined the 12,000 capacity Sefton Park in his hometown last weekend, his biggest show to date, and is also fresh from an appearance on The Other Stage at Glastonbury a week earlier.

Webster, a former electrician and a passionate supporter of Liverpool FC, is considered a spokesperson for “a generation of switched-on, socially-minded music lovers”.

He sings truth to power and put working-class lives at the forefront of all three of his Top 10 albums, including this year’s No 2 hit 10 For The People.

Webster released his first new music of 2024, Breadline, just last week. Fans can expect songs old and new, including his recently BRIT Silver Certified modern folk classic, Weekend In Paradise, to be in the set list as he prepares to play some of the biggest shows away from his home city.

In addition to his chart and streaming successes, hitting the UK Official Album Chart Top Three with both his second album, Moments (2022) and most recent collection, We Get By (2024) Webster’s gigs have grown to become major events around the UK.
