Hull City sack Tim Walter

GONE: Tim Walter

By Rick Lyon, Co-Editor

Hull City have parted ways with head coach Tim Walter.

Walter was appointed in the summer following the shock departure of Liam Rosenior but has now been sacked following a dismal run of results and growing disillusion among Tigers supporters.

The home defeat by Sheffield Wednesday last night, when fans called for Walter to be dismissed, proved to be the final straw for City chairman Acun Ilıcalı.

Assistant head coaches Julian Hübner and Filip Tapalović have also left the club.

First team coach Andy Dawson will take interim charge until a permanent successor is appointed.

The club said in a statement: “We would like to thank Tim, Julian and Filip for their efforts during their time at the MKM Stadium and wish them well for the future.”
