Corey Dobbe murder: Reward for information about suspect Moise Djuku doubled to £10k

VICTIM: Corey Dobbe

The reward for information to find the prime suspect in the murder of Corey Dobbe has been increased to £10,000.

Corey, 23, suffered fatal stab wounds in an incident in Harleston Close, east Hull, on June 13. He was treated at the scene but died a short time later.

Three arrests have been made as part of the police investigation, but chief suspect Moise Djuku remains at large

He is believed to have links to Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester and has so far evaded arrest.

Crimestoppers had offered a £5,000 reward to anyone providing information leading to Djuku’s arrest and today, six months on from Corey’s death, it has doubled that to £10,000.

Gemma Gibbs, Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Manager at Crimestoppers, said: “We are now doubling the amount offered for anonymous information leading to Djuku’s arrest as we continue to support the investigation.

“Corey was much loved by his family and they are desperate for answers and to see justice.

“This appalling murder has shocked not only those who knew Corey, but also the wider community

“We believe somebody knows where Djuku is and it is crucial that he is found. We are reminding you that to assist somebody wanted for questioning over murder can lead to prosecution.

SUSPECT: Moise Djuku

“Our charity is here for anyone who feels unable to speak directly to law enforcement. We are completely independent and offer an alternative option when reporting crime.

“Since we began in the late 1980s, our charity has always kept our cast-iron guarantee of anonymity to the millions who have trusted us with their crime information

“Whatever information you have, please do the right thing. It might be invaluable to the investigation and to helping find Djuku.”

Detective Chief Inspector Alan Curtis, from Humberside Police, said “It has been six months since Corey died and our investigations continue to focus on locating Moise Djuku, who we believe has crucial information about Corey’s murder.

“Myself and the officers involved in this murder investigation are hoping that the enhanced reward offer from Crimestoppers of £10,000 might bring someone forward that will lead us to locating Moise Djuku.

“Every single piece of information that has been given to us by the public has been looked into, but I would ask that if anyone believes they have any information, no matter how small, to call us or Crimestoppers.

“It is frustrating that we have not managed to track Moise Djuku down, despite extensive searches, a nationwide wanted appeal and a BBC Crimewatch appeal.

“Someone out there knows where he is and we would welcome any information that would help us locate him.”
