Tigers re-sign Tom Huddlestone
Hull City have re-signed fan favourite Tom Huddlestone, the club have confirmed.
The experienced midfielder returns to the Tigers on a one-year deal, with a club having the option to extend it for a further year.
Huddlestone, 34, has been training with the first team for the past four weeks and featured in the pre-season friendlies against Scunthorpe and Manchester United Under-23s, scoring in the latter.
The four-time capped former England international represented City with distinction during a memorable spell between 2013 and 2017.
Huddlestone helped the club achieve its highest ever league finish of 16th in the Premier League, reach its first FA Cup final and secure European qualification for the first time in 2014.
Revered by supporters, the classy defensive midfielder totalled 161 appearances in black and amber, weighing in with eight goals.
Head Coach Grant McCann said: “We are delighted to bring Tom back to the club.
“His experience and quality will be invaluable for us this season and he will certainly benefit the young players we have in our squad.
“Having been with us now for nearly four weeks, he’s getting fitter every day and we will continue to get him sharper and fitter as the weeks go on.”
