Hull City have signed midfielder Ozan Tufan on a three-year deal from Turkish giants Fenerbahçe, subject to obtaining a work permit.

The 27-year-old, whose deal includes a club option of a further year, scored 21 goals in 216 appearances for the Süper Lig side and becomes the Tigers’ second summer transfer recruit.

Capped 65 times for Türkiye, Tufan has scored nine goals for his country, including a 90th minute winner over Denmark in September 2014, and will become the first Turkish player to represent Hull City.

The versatile midfielder spent time in England with Watford last season, making his debut in a Third Round EFL Cup clash against Stoke City. Four days later, he made his Premier League debut against Newcastle United.

Tufan made 18 appearances for Watford, before returning to Fenerbahçe for the second half of the 2021/22 season.

Yesterday, City announced the signing of Portuguese centre-back Tobias Figueiredo on a two-year contract. He joined the club today.
