Mum’s tribute to Sachin Hawkins, 19, as man accused of his murder appears in court

The mum of a young man who died after an alleged stabbing this week has paid tribute to her son.

Sachin Hawkins, 19, suffered fatal injuries at an address in Hardy Street, west Hull, on Wednesday.

In a statement released by Humberside Police, Sachin’s mum said: “He was a young man who wanted to be an aspiring special education teacher.

“He loved his family and friends, they meant the world to him. He wanted to make everyone proud and was a role model for the younger generation.

“Sachin was loved by everyone.”

Sachin’s family are being supported by specially trained officers.

Syed Hussain-Kazi, 24, of Hardy Street, has been charged with Sachin’s death. He has appeared at Hull Magistrates Court and been remanded in custody to appear at Hull Crown Court on Monday, November 20.
