The Pretenders: Chrissie Hynde knee injury sees Hull date added to rescheduled UK tour

Rock legends The Pretenders will play in Hull this year after four new dates were added to their UK tour.
The band, led by pop icon Chrissie Hynde, visit Connexin Live on Saturday, October 19, with tickets on sale from Friday at 10am.
The new dates were announced today as the group said their headline tour dates for February and March were now being rescheduled for October.
The tour will take in 13 performances across the country.
Explaining the rescheduling to fans through The Pretenders’ social media accounts, Hynde said: “Hi All! We're champing at the bit to get back on the road, but looks like we’re gonna have to hold tight for a while.
“I have a knee injury which will have to be dealt with first. I was hoping I could limp through the next 6 weeks, but it’s just getting worse. (I’ll spare you the gory details…).
“We will be rescheduling the postponed shows to later in the year. So sorry for the inconvenience but look forward to seeing you then.”
Existing ticket holders are being reassured that all tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date. Anyone unable to attend the revised date can contact their point of purchase for a refund.
The October 2024 tour will follow The Pretenders’ latest album Relentless, their highest-charting record in 23 years and 14th UK Top 40 release.
The Pretenders played Glastonbury last summer, supported Guns ‘n’ Roses late last year, and will play with the Foo Fighters this summer, so the Hull date is much anticipated.
Tickets will be available here.
