By Rick Lyon

Detectives want to speak to this suspect about an attack in Hull city centre on Boxing Day which has left a man in a critical condition.

The victim was found on Paragon Street, near to the junction of Chariot Street, at around 10pm having suffered a life-threatening head injury. He remains in hospital in a critical condition.

Detective Superintendent Craig Nicholson, the officer leading the investigation, said: “Over the course of the last four days, officers have been carrying out a number of enquiries as well as reviewing CCTV in the area.

“Following our recent appeals, we have been provided with some very helpful information from the public and have now identified the man in these CCTV images who we believe could assist us with our investigation.

“It is thought that that the victim, alongside the man in these images, were both in the pub Hull Cheese prior to the assault taking place.

“If you believe this is you, or you may know who this man is, or have any further information that you think could assist our investigation, no matter how small, please contact us on our non-emergency number 101, quoting log 454 of December 26.”
