Abduction attempt: Police want to find these men

Detectives investigating an alleged abduction attempt have released these images of two of the suspects.

The incident happened near Abingdon Garth, on Noddle Hill Way, Bransholme, at around 11:30am on Wednesday, March 23.

It was reported a woman was waiting for a bus when a black Audi pulled up alongside her.

The car is said to have contained three men who spoke to the woman before allegedly trying to get her into the vehicle. A passer-by intervened and the men left the area in the car, leaving the victim shaken but uninjured.

The three men were all described as being black, around 5ft 10in to 6ft tall, and around 25 to 26-years-old. They spoke with Yorkshire accents.

One was of slim to muscular build with black medium length braided hair, and wearing dark clothing. Another had short black hair and was again wearing dark clothing. The third man had short black hair and was wearing a black t-shirt, black jogging bottoms, black trainers and black sports or cycling gloves.

Humberside Police have now released these e-fit images of two of the men as they continue to appeal for information.

Detective Inspector Paul Farmer said: “I understand that reports of this nature can be concerning but I want to offer my reassurance that they are incredibly rare.

“We are treating this as a priority with a team of specially trained officers investigating all lines of enquiry available to establish exactly what happened and identify those responsible.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the force’s non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 16/37421/22.

Alternatively, call independent charity CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111. If the information provided leads to the arrest and charge of a suspect, you could claim a cash reward of up to £1,000.
