Murder probe: Victim named as Corey Dobbe
A 23-year-old man who died after reports of a stabbing in east Hull has been named as Corey Jacob Dobbe.
Emergency services responded to the reports on Harleston Close at 7.10pm on Sunday.
Corey had suffered serious injuries and received medical treatment at the scene, but died a short time later.
His family and friends have thanked all those who have sent messages of condolence to them, both personally and through social media, and have now asked for privacy.
A cordon and officers remain at the scene as Humberside Police continue to conduct extensive enquiries.
Detective Chief Inspector Alan Curtis said: “I’d like to thank members of the public who have already contacted us, providing information surrounding the events of Sunday evening.
“Having conducted initial enquiries, we believe that both the Corey and his aggressor were known to each other, and is not believed that there was a wider threat to the general public.
“We have, and continue to carry out extensive enquiries; however, at this stage of our investigations no-one has been arrested in connection with Corey’s murder.
“If you have not yet spoken to us, but believe you may know something that could assist us, no matter how insignificant you think it may be, it may assist us with our enquiries.
“Those living in the area will see an increased number of officers over the coming days carrying out enquiries and providing reassurance to residents and the local community. Please come and speak to those officers if you have any concerns.”
