Karl Turner MP launches cost of living survey amid ‘biggest assault on living standards in memory’

CONCERN: East Hull Labour MP Karl Turner

By Simon Bristow

East Hull MP Karl Turner has launched a survey to hear how the cost of living crisis is affecting his constituents.

With price rises and wage freezes hitting hard, the Labour MP said he needs to build an evidence-driven picture of exactly which issues are most important to local people in order to provide tailored assistance to constituents and to hold the Government to account.

The survey can be completed online here or by requesting a copy.

Mr Turner said: “Be it at the petrol pump, in the supermarket, or on our energy bills, people in East Hull and across the country are facing the biggest assault on their living standards in living memory.

“Yet while people are worried sick about how to pay their bills and put food on the table, the Tory party is squabbling amongst itself.

“Labour have a fully-costed plan to bring families’ costs down immediately, but I’ve launched this survey to hear directly from people in East Hull just what changes they want to see.”
