EXCLUSIVE: Brothers admit offences over death of Darron Bower in Withernsea

Two brothers are due to be sentenced next month after admitting separate offences relating to the death of a man in Withernsea.
Darron Bower, 43, of Withernsea, died after a violent incident at the Pier Hotel in the resort on March 11.
Brothers Dean Kilkenny, 47, and Darren Moverley, 44, both of the same address in Hubert Street, Withernsea, were initially charged with Mr Bower’s murder, which they both denied, and on which they were due to stand trial this week.
Kilkenny and Moverley have now pleaded guilty to lesser offences relating to the same incident and are due to be sentenced at Hull Crown Court on September 15.

Kilkenny admitted manslaughter, while Moverley admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm and affray in a hearing at Sheffield Crown Court.
Both defendants were remanded in custody.
Flowers were left outside the pub in Seaside Road after Mr Bower’s death, and tributes were paid to him on social media. The Pier Hotel also released a statement which spoke of being “distraught” at the loss of a “a son, partner, brother, dad, grandad, uncle, cousin and friend”.
