Man who died after Hull park ‘assault’ named as Chris King

NAMED: Chris King died in hospital

A man who died from a head injury after an alleged assault has been named as Chris King.

Humberside Police were called to reports that two men had been assaulted in the park on Vane Street, Hull, at around 7.45pm on Monday, June 12.

Chris, 53, was taken to hospital for treatment to a life-threatening head injury. He remained on life support for two weeks before he died on Monday, June 26.

Lance Kingsley, 21, of Spring Bank, Hull, was charged on Thursday, June 15 with causing grievous bodily harm and assault by beating. He is due to appear at Hull Crown Court on Friday, October 20.

Chris’s family continue to be supported by specialist trained officers.
