Man charged with murder of Richard Gray in Greatfield

A 30-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Richard Gray in the Greatfield area of east Hull.

Christian Belcher, of no fixed abode, has been remanded in custody to appear at Hull Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

Police were called to a property on Gainford Grove at around 4am on Thursday, March 2, following reports of an assault.

Mr Gray, 45, was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment, but later died as a result of his injuries.

His family are being supported by specially trained officers.

Two other people who were arrested as part of the investigation have since been released with no further action.
