By Simon Bristow, Co-Editor

Hull comedian Lucy Beaumont is to headline a hometown show at Connexin Live this Christmas.

Lucy will take to the stage on Friday, December 13 as part of an extension to her UK tour. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday, April 5.

The award-winning comedian is going to “let loose and let slip on her roller coaster world”.

As well as her successful stand-up career, Lucy has appeared on TV programmes including Have I Got News For You, The Last Leg, Taskmaster and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She is the star of Meet The Richardsons alongside husband Jon Richardson, and was nominated for a BAFTA for the show.

Lucy has also written Hullraisers on Channel 4 and co-wrote and starred in the radio sitcom To Hull and Back, featuring Hull acting great Maureen Lipman.

Lucy’s December show is the latest comedy event to be announced at Connexin Live. Greg Davies, Rob Beckett, Russell Kane, Paddy McGuinness, Rhod Gilbert and Jimmy Carr have all recently announced dates at the venue.

Sarah Millican performed two sold-out shows at the Myton Street arena last month, with Michael McIntyre due to visit for two sell-out gigs at the end of April.

Seated tickets for Lucy Beaumont at Connexin Live will be available from 10am on Friday from www.connexinlivehull.com  or by visiting new official ticketing partner AXS.

VIP and hospitality upgrades are also available for all shows; email hull@eu.asmglobal.com for further details.
