Indie legends Two Door Cinema Club to play Hull in October
By Simon Bristow
Indie legends Two Door Cinema Club will perform at Connexin Live on October 24.
After a sold-out gig at the venue back in 2019, the band will return to Hull later this year.
Mixing guitar-driven hooks with dancey, electronic polish, Northern Ireland’s Two Door Cinema Club first gained attention with 2010’s Tourist History and singles like What You Know, Something Good Can Work and Undercover Martyn.
Tourist History received worldwide critical acclaim and saw the band cement a global following.
They have since produced a hat-trick of records of equal merit and success: Beacon (2012), Gameshow (2016) and False Alarm (2019); each scoring Top 10 positions in the official UK charts and a rave reception from fans and critics alike.
Two Door Cinema Club have become a frequent sight at festivals like Reading and Leeds Festival and Glastonbury.
The band formed in 2007 and comprises Alex Trimble (vocals, rhythm guitar, beats, synths), Sam Halliday (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Kevin Baird (bass, synths, backing vocals).
Standing and seated tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday and will be available from www.connexinlivehull.com or by visiting Ticketmaster. VIP and hospitality upgrades are available for all shows; email hull@eu.asmglobal.com for further details.
