Hunt for Leon Smith, 22, after east Hull stabbing

Humberside Police are searching for 22-year-old Leon Smith after a man was stabbed in east Hull.

The stabbing happened on Grasby Road on Tuesday, May 16.

Detective Inspector Jim Clarke said: “Whilst the man is recovering well in hospital from his injuries, the outcome of this incident could have been considerably worse.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who sees Smith or may know where he is. Extensive enquiries are ongoing to try and locate Smith and we are doing everything we can to find him.

“We do believe this was an isolated incident between individuals known to each other and our teams continue to be visible in the area to provide additional reassurance to residents.”

A 42-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on conditional bail.
