We can now reveal the answers to our Hull City Quiz, as set in the December launch edition of The Hull Story newspaper.

Huge congratulations to Paul Wood of Sutton, whose name was drawn out of the hat from the readers who answered the five questions correctly.

Paul wins a £25 voucher for Nostalgia Bistro in Chanterlands Avenue.

You can see whether you got it right from the answers below.

We asked:

  1. Who was City’s top scorer in the 2015-16 season – the last time they achieved promotion to the Premier League? Abel Hernandez.

  2. Which player scored a rare goal for City in the first leg of the 2016 Championship play-offs against Derby County and an own goal as pressure mounted in the second leg? Andy Robertson.

  3. Against which team did City achieve their only home and away double in the first Premier League season of 2008-09? Fulham.

  4. Which Premier League star scored his first league goal for City in a 1-1 draw at Aston Villa in August 2017? Jarrod Bowen.

  5. Which current City hero scored the opening goal as the Tigers beat West Bromwich Albion in a Premier League clash in March 2014? Liam Rosenior.
