‘Party-goer’ critical after being found with serious leg injury

A man is in a critical condition after being found with a serious leg injury in west Hull.

Police say the man, who is thought to be in his early 20s, had been at a party in Sledmere Grove but it is not yet known how he came to be injured.

Officers were called to Sledmere Grove by ambulance crews just after 12.15am on Saturday. The man was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition.

Police remain in the area as investigations continue.

Detective Inspector Simon Vickers said: “We believe the man had been at a party at an address in Sledmere Grove but at this stage, it has not been established how he came to be injured.

“As part of our investigation, we are keen to speak to anyone who was at the party who is yet to come forward, or any drivers who were in the area at the time – particularly anyone who has dashcam footage.”
