Devolution: Residents invited to have their say on proposal at consultation events

By Simon Bristow, Co-Editor

A series of consultation events on the proposed devolution deal for Hull and East Yorkshire are under way across the city.

Residents are invited to have their say at the events, where staff from Hull City Council will be on hand to support them with information, answer any queries and help with completing the consultation.

The next event takes place at Beverley Road Baths on Monday, January 22, from 10am to noon.

The full list is below, with further consultations taking place at leisure centres across the city to be announced.

City council leader Mike Ross said: “We are pleased to announce such a large set of events to discuss the new proposed devolution deal and what it could bring to the city.

“As part of being a listening council, we want everyone in Hull to have the chance to have their say on the new devolution proposals. The council is going to work hard to make sure residents’ views feel heard.

“I look forward to attending many of these events to discuss the new devolution proposals with local people to hear what they have to say on this big issue.”

The in-person events are in addition to the consultation survey, which is available here.
