Hull City have announced the loan signing of Brazilian playmaker Lincoln from Turkish giants Fenerbahçe.

The 26-year-old, who becomes the Tigers’ fifth winter window recruit, will remain at the MKM Stadium until the conclusion of the current campaign.

The versatile left-footer, capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or winger, has netted 25 goals and provided 39 assists in 282 career appearances.

Born in Porto Alegre, Lincoln began his footballing journey in Brazil with Grêmio and made his debut aged just 16 in January 2015, captaining his country at that year’s Under-17 World Cup.

He lifted the 2017/18 TFF First League title while on loan at Turkish team Rizespor and was later loaned to Brazilian club América Mineiro before signing for Santa Clara in summer 2019.

Spending three years in Portugal, the attacker contributed 23 assists – including ten in a fruitful final season, where he also scored seven goals – in 110 appearances for the Azoreans.

Signed by Fenerbahçe in July 2022, Lincoln helped the Yellow Canaries clinch the Turkish Cup in his debut campaign, creating eight assists in 35 outings.

He returned to Brazil on loan last February, joining Red Bull Bragantino, and produced nine goal contributions in 49 matches during the 2024 Brazilian season.

Lincoln said: “Very happy to be here. I thank the club and the management for the opportunity. Now, I am another Tiger on the pitch. I hope I can help the club achieve their goals until the end of the season.

“It was about two weeks ago I met the chairman in Istanbul. He approached me with the interest; I was very glad, very happy. I am 100 per cent ready to try to help the club.

“I am a very versatile player. I can understand the situations of the game; that’s why I play three or four different positions, even during the same match.

“My best position is number 10 but I have played many times as a box-to-box number eight, left winger, right winger.

“The fans can expect a lot of hard work, a lot of intensity. I’ll run a lot and give everything for the club.”

City’s other signings of the window so far are:

  • Midfielder Matt Crooks

  • Forward Joe Gelhardt (on loan from Leeds United)

  • Winger Nordin Amrabat

  • Forward Kyle Joseph.
