Hull City have signed attacking left-back Ryan Giles on loan from Premier League side Luton Town.
The 24-year-old has joined for the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign, with the club having the option to buy him permanently at the end of the season.
The full-back has made over 100 Championship appearances across loan spells with Coventry City, Rotherham United, Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough.
Giles excelled at Boro last term, registering 12 assists in 48 appearances to help Michael Carrick’s men reach the play-offs.
Earning a club-record transfer to Luton Town last summer following their promotion to the top flight, 11 of Giles’ 14 appearances for the Hatters this season came in the Premier League.
The former England Under-20 international progressed through Wolves’ youth ranks, winning their 2017/18 academy player of the year, and has also had spells with Telford United and Shrewsbury Town.
Head coach Liam Rosenior said: “I’m absolutely delighted that Ryan is joining the club and that he’s decided to come here. He’s a top full-back at this level and we want to improve and develop him with us.
“He’s going to make a huge difference to our team, give us balance and a real attacking threat on the left side of the pitch.
“He has played a lot of Championship games, brings experience of promotion pushes, fits into our style of play and has outstanding athletic ability and technical quality in the final third.
“I like attacking full-backs and Ryan is one of the best in the league.”
