‘A heart of gold’: Family pay tribute to Carl Fullard as man charged with murder

A man who died after allegedly being attacked on Anlaby Road has been named as Carl Fullard.

Mr Fullard, 44, suffered a head injury opposite GW Horners pub at around 6.15pm Saturday, September 9. He died in hospital the following night.

John Blanshard, 44, of St Paul’s Street, Hull, has been charged in connection with Mr Fullard’s murder.

In a statement released by Humberside Police, Mr Fullard’s mum Julie said: “You will always be missed, and a tragedy that you went this way. Rest in peace, my son.”

His sister Lesley said: “You were a loving and caring brother, and had a heart of gold. We will miss you so much.”

Detective Chief Inspector Jayne Goodens, the officer leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts remain with Carl’s family and friends as they come to terms with their tragic loss. I wish to thank everyone who has come to us with information about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
