Pop classics, top comedy & Strictly dancing: Bonus Arena’s big shows for May

An ABBA tribute, Strictly Come Dancing – The Professionals, and comedian Dara O'Briain are just some of the highlights of a busy and eclectic programme of events coming up at Hull’s Bonus Arena next month.

From the dazzling moves of Strictly to the hilarious comedy of O'Briain and the legendary music of Midge Ure, there is something for everyone at the Myton Street venue in May.

Strictly Come Dancing – The Professionals kicks off the programme on May 2. Fans of the popular TV show will not want to miss this chance to see their favourite professional dancers perform live on stage. With stunning costumes, mesmerizing choreography, and electrifying energy, the show is sure to impress.

The line-up includes Strictly professional dancers Dianne Buswell; Vito Coppola; Carlos Gu; Karen Hauer; Neil Jones; Nikita Kuzmin; Gorka Marquez; Luba Mushtuk; Jowita Przystal; and Nancy Xu.

On May 6, Dara O'Briain will take to the stage for a night of side-splitting laughter. Known for his quick wit and observational humour, Dara's show promises to be a hilarious night out.

Legendary musician Midge Ure will perform at the arena on May 12, showcasing hits from his extensive career. Fans of Ultravox and Ure’s solo work will be looking forward to such classics as Vienna and Dancing with Tears in My Eyes live in concert.

ABBA tribute group Thank You For The Music will bring their captivating show to Hull on May 19, performing all of the iconic band’s greatest hits including Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, and Waterloo.

On May 20, the Magic of Motown will transport audiences back to the golden age of soul music. Featuring hits from The Temptations, The Four Tops, and Marvin Gaye, this high-energy show will have audiences dancing in the aisles.
