Multi award-winning Beal Homes has been named as Yorkshire’s best housebuilder yet again.

East Yorkshire-based Beal was named as Housebuilder of the Year at the Insider Yorkshire Property Industry Awards 2021.

It’s the fourth time in the past five years that Beal has taken the prestigious accolade – an unprecedented run of success.

The award reflected Beal’s exceptional performance during a period of unprecedented challenges posed by the pandemic.

Judges of the prestigious awards recognised Beal’s work in delivering a series of high-quality developments in Hull, East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, including the company’s vital contribution to the regeneration of Goole, with a game-changing investment in The Greenways, the town’s biggest residential scheme for decades.

Beal’s entry for Housebuilder of the Year also highlighted the company’s proactive response to the pandemic. Beal focused strongly on helping homebuyers after Covid struck, by introducing a comprehensive package of support to enable customers to complete their moves safely, and introduced appointment-only, Covid-safe visits to marketing suites and show homes.

Beal also responded to fundamental changes in buyers’ priorities as a result of the pandemic, by extending its unique proposition offering every buyer the opportunity to personalise their new home to a pioneering service helping buyers to create their own ideal outdoor space.

Richard Beal, Chief Executive of the family-run housebuilder, said: “We’re deeply honoured to be named as Yorkshire Housebuilder of the Year – even more so as we have won this award time after time in recent years.

HIGH-QUALITY: Beal’s The Paddocks development in Hessle – one of the schemes that has earned the accolade of Housebuilder of the Year in the Insider Yorkshire Property Industry Awards

“This achievement is particularly satisfying as these awards are based on performance and activity across the Yorkshire property industry since early last year, just before the first lockdown, and through the extraordinarily challenging times caused by Covid.

“I want to take the opportunity to pay tribute to our brilliant team who have coped with significant personal and professional challenges while continuing to provide a superb service to our customers and deliver developments and homes of exceptional quality.

“A very big thank you also to our construction and project partners, contractors and suppliers and, of course, every one of our valued Beal buyers – the support and loyalty of our customers is the key ingredient in our success and we couldn’t appreciate it more.”

The Housebuilder of the Year award was sponsored by development consultancy Pegasus Group, with Newett Homes and Redrow shortlisted in the category.

As well as the top housebuilder award, Beal was shortlisted as part of the Wykeland Beal joint venture with commercial developer Wykeland Group for their work together delivering the stunning transformation of Hull’s Fruit Market area into a thriving urban village.

Wykeland Beal was shortlisted for Residential Development of the Year (more than 50 homes) for the new homes that form a vital part of the £80m regeneration project.

The partners were also shortlisted for Commercial Development of the Year for a new £11m showpiece head office for Arco, the UK’s leading safety business, and a £5m multi-storey car park, which have been delivered in the latest major phase of development in the Fruit Market.

The Housebuilder of the Year award is the latest in a series of industry accolades for Beal, including a Game Changer Award in the Yorkshire Property Awards 2020, with Wykeland, for the Fruit Market regeneration.

The Insider Yorkshire Property Industry Awards 2021 were held at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds and hosted by TV presenter Mark Durden-Smith. For full details of the winners go to: www.insidermedia.com/news/yorkshire/resilient-property-industry-celebrated-at-awards
